 CHRIS COLFER - a.k.a. Kurt Hummel of 'Glee' - has signed a two-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. Colfer's first book will be called 'The Land Of Stories' and is expected to be released during the U.S. Summer in 2012. The book will target readers aged eight to twelve and will apparently be about twins - Alex and Connor Bailey - in "a fast-paced adventure series that combines the modern world with fairytales," according to THR. About his new venture, Colfer has said that: "When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance. This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it." Currently, Colfer is also writing a pilot for Disney Channel titled 'The Little Leftover Witch', as well as penning an independent feature, 'Struck By Lightning'. WHEN DOES HE FIND TIME TO SLEEP?! |
