1. Ruffle Your Feathers

John Pusateri, Annie Sandano, John Appleton, Mark Rayner, Kristin Perrett and Natasha Cantwell.

SEED GALLERY

03 — 21 NOVEMBER

I have a fascination with all things feathery.... Seriously, throw a picture of a bird on a canvas and it's immediately comparable to Van Gogh for me. So this exhibition is right up my street!

2. One Brown Box: A Storybook Exhibition for Children.

Bronwyn Lloyd and Karl Chitham.

OBJECTSPACE

06 NOVEMBER — 18 DECEMBER

It hints on the blurb that this exhibition is one for the kids - and if that's the case I'll be there with bells on. I can't wait to see the inventions these guys created, just using boxes and their imagination.

3. Something/Nothing.

Allan McDonald.

ANNA MILES GALLERY

27 OCTOBER — 20 NOVEMBER

As someone who is a great follower of The Selby [google it] photography exhibition 'Something/ Nothing' - this sparked interest straight away, once I read that the subject matter was second-hand shops I was sold.

4. Earth From Above

AOTEA SQUARE

04 NOVEMBER — 19 DECEMBER

Gold coin donation.
An Art Walk

My favourite thing about flying is that moment during take-off, where you look down and see everyone turn into ants. Combine that with the fact the portraits are lit up all pretty at night! There's no way this exhibition WOULDN'T be in my Top 5.

5. AD10.

ST PAUL ST GALLERY

11 — 14 NOVEMBER

FREE

Call me biased, but I think NZ has one of the most exciting young art communities around. I can't wait to see what the AUT Graduates have whipped up this time.
