'THE COVENANT' was released back in 2006. I got caught up in it yesterday and thought it'd be appropriate for those who wanted to check out Gossip Girl's CHACE CRAWFORD aka. Nate Archibald and SEBASTIAN STAN aka. Leighton Meester's former-flame-and-sometimes-co-star Carter Baizen from back in the day....

The film also stars STEVEN STRAIT as the lead character (who author Stephanie Meyer imagined as Jacob Black when she wrote 'Twilight'), LAURA RAMSEY, TAYLOR KITSH and TOBY HEMINGWAY who looks like a grown up Draco Malfoy from the 'Harry Potter' series.

The movie was produced by the team from 'Underworld' and set along the same genre of supernatural action/thriller/horror. I think of it as 'The Craft' but with dudes - good-looking-teen-idol types that go by the name of 'Sons of Ipswich' (and no, they're not a boy band). They are descendants of powerful families whom were the original founders of the Ipswich Colony that settled in the late 1600's.

Their descendants--Caleb (STEVEN STRAIT), Reid (TOBY HEMINGWAY), Tyler (CHACE CRAWFORD), and Pogue (TAYLOR KITSH) have inherited magical powers that first manifested themselves when the boys turned 13 years old.
