 This time next week, J.J. Abrams' new film 'SUPER 8' - out on June 9th - will have been released to NZ cinemas! Out of all the new movies that I have watched this year so far, 'Super 8' has probably been the most pleasant of a surprise. Coup De Main was invited to watch the film early - in advance of our interview with ELLE FANNING tomorrow - and we went in not knowing anything at all about it, and walked away feeling really satisfied. I'm serious: 'Super 8' is the ultimate date-movie. It ticks a lot of boxes... "An ordinary family in an ordinary town, witnesses something extraordinary, something supernatural, something incredible. Because of what they have seen, a chain of events is set in motion that will change all of their lives forever. In 1979, the US Air Force closed a section of Area 51. All materials were to be transported by train to a secure facility. In the darkness of night, the cargo train endures a spectacular crash before it reaches its final destination; the cargo and its fate remains a mystery.
