![]() If you, like me... have watched every single episode of 'Hannah Montana' and are currently, ever-so-slightly excited for the 'He Could Be The One' two-part special next week... Then you will also, be sad that there are only twenty-five remaining episodes of 'Hannah Montana' EVER. Billy Ray Cyrus has confirmed that next year's Season 4, will be the final season; once and for all. But, not to fret! 'Hannah Montana: The Movie', is FINALLY HERE. Miley Cyrus plays Miley Stewart a.k.a. Hannah Montana. For those that are not among the worldwide 200 million viewers of the show (if all Hannah Montana viewers banded together to form a collective country, they would register as the fifth largest population in the world, behind Indonesia and ahead of Brazil), brunette Miley Stewart is seemingly, a 'normal', all-American girl. However, give Miley a blonde wig and microphone... and she transforms into her alter-ego; Hannah Montana. A teen popstar sensation, whom only her best friends and family know the truth about. ![]() “As the film starts in Los Angeles, the pressure is building on Miley with the demands of being Hannah Montana. She’s kind of lost herself, the little girl from Tennessee. Robby Ray decides the best medicine would be to go home. In real life, my Dad always says it is important to be aware of your surroundings and where you’re at. Always be looking forward and know where you want to go but, most importantly, never forget where you come from. That’s what this story is about.” - Billy Ray Cyrus The crux of 'Hannah Montana: The Movie', lies in the world of Hannah, threatening to completely take over the world of Miley. Robby Ray Stewart; played by real-life Dad Billy Ray Cyrus, tricks Miley into returning home to Crowley Corners, Tennessee... and thus! Begins the typical-Disney warm-fuzzies. Like the TV show, the plot revolves around the bumbling efforts of Miley attempting to have the 'best of both worlds', but only making things worse for herself with white lies and Hannah-disguises. All the while, Hannah is stalked by a sleazy tabloid reporter, who is determined to uncover her 'big secret'. ![]() “The story shows how you need to be able to take the time to realize who you are and where you’ve come from. I know I have to do that in my life sometimes. It feels great to come home to Nashville and be comfortable with who I am. Where you’re from reflects a lot of who you are and who you’ll become as you get older. Like what happens in the movie, you have to take it back down to the real world. It’s super important to stay true to yourself and your family and stay in touch with who you are. When audiences walk away from the movie, I hope they feel like they’ve been to my home. I hope they feel like they understand Nashville because Nashville is my everything. Nashville is who I am.” - Miley Cyrus To differentiate between the TV show and the movie, recurring characters from the show such as Mitchel Musso's Oliver Oken and Jason Earle's Jackson Stewart, do not feature as prominently in the film, as they normally would appear in a TV episode. However, new characters are introduced in the form of love interests for both Miley and Robby Ray. Lucas Till plays Travis Brody; a long-forgotten childhood 'friend'. Till took guitar, piano and horseback riding lessons in preparation for his role... and is just as much of a babe in the Hannah Montana movie, than in his other recognisable role as Taylor Swift's on-screen beau in her latest music video; 'You Belong With Me'. Taylor Swift also appears, playing herself to sing a previously unreleased song; 'Crazier'. Although 'Crazier' was not written for 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' (just an old song Taylor never planned on using), the song fits the growing relationship between Miley and Travis perfectly. Swift also, co-wrote the movie's closing track, 'You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home'. ![]() “When I got an email from Disney saying they wanted a song that was perfect to fall in love to and sort of a country waltz, I sent them ‘Crazier’ and they loved it." - Taylor Swift ![]() “There are a lot of similarities between me and Travis, which really attracted me to this role. Like a lot of southern guys, he’s reserved, and I’m from the South, and I’m a reserved guy. I don’t really like to show my emotions too much, and Travis kind of holds his feelings back. He loves riding horses, and I found out I really love riding horses. So Travis and I, we have a lot in common. It felt so good and natural, I should have been on a horse my entire life. I fell in love with riding. It’s an awesome, awesome experience to be able to learn that as part of my job.” - Lucas Till Other guest appearances to note, are from Vanessa Williams ('Ugly Betty's Willhelmina Slater) as Hannah Montana's publicist and Tyra Banks as herself; in a shoe-store cat-fight. ![]() |
