 6. Harry Potter movies are like Sylvanian family dolls or collectors items. Why get one; when you can get them ALL?! Once you’ve read the first book, you’ve got to read them ALL! Once you’ve seen the first instalment, you have to see them ALL. They are addictive. Harry Potter fans have been waiting since 2007, when ‘Order of the Phoenix’ was released. What’s even better is that this movie is the THIRD longest in the series so far: 2hrs, 33 mins and 19 seconds long. That's bang for your buck if you ask me!  5. The set designer is AMAZING. If you haven’t heard of him, his name is Stuart Craig (real name Norman Stuart Craig….Dropping ‘Norman’ was a good call) and he’s been nominated for the Academy Awards; 8 times. 8 TIMES!!! Of which he won 3!!!! He’s also got a string of other notable awards just to prove that he’s good for the job AND it’s a bonus that he’s a Harry Potter fan! For ‘Half Blood Prince’, I hear there’s going to be a whole bunch of new sets introduced and a whole lot of CGI for some interiors and exteriors - and here I thought the dining hall at Hogwarts would be hard to top - this one is going to be AMAZING.  4. The sixth instalment is dark, dark, dark, dark. The underlying theme for the whole book is death. I thought that while the world is in mourning for Michael Jackson the King of Pop, perhpas there’s a lesson here for all of us.  3. In ‘Half Blood Prince’ we get to see Lord Voldemort’s mini-me’s and mini-ish me. So far we've seen him as a flat-nosed, pale-faced, angry dude. It'll be nice to seem him as...well...normal. Portraying an 11 year old Tom Riddle (the kid who becomes Lord Voldemort played by Ralph Fiennes), is Hero Fiennes-Tiffin – Ralph Fiennes’s nephew. Yes that’s his real name. We also see a teenage Tom Riddle played by Frank Dillane.  2. Love is in the air at Hogwarts! It gets a bit scandalous. In a nutshell; Harry is in love with Ginny Weasley but Ginny is going out with Dean Thomas. Hermione is in love with Ron... but he doesn’t know it... all the while he’s been chased by Lavender Brown. Throw in some love – potion – laced-chocolates into the mix... and it makes for an amusing storyline!  1. Early reviews of the movie have been nothing short of positive. There are even talks of the movie being a possible ‘Oscar contender’! Thaaaaaaaaaaat good?! It’s definitely a must-see. |
