 In the aftermath of KATY PERRY's play-date with Elmo being cut from 'Sesame Street' due to parental complaints, the series executive producer of 'The Simpsons' has revealed to EW that: "In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry." Al Jean told EW that Perry will guest in a Christmas-themed episode of 'The Simpsons' and will appear in a live-action segment as herself, with 'The Simpsons' characters as puppets. Perry will play Moe's girlfriend and lead 'The Simpsons' in a rendition of 'The 39 Days Of Christmas'. Martha Stewart will also grace the same episode, but in cartoon form.
