Apparently The Jersey Shore isn't enough 'reality' for the world, so reality-city is about to churn out an entire new web series. Brace yourselves... it's called 'GENUINE KEN: THE SEARCH FOR THE GREAT AMERICAN BOYFRIEND'. The reality/game-show will be broadcast on www.hulu.com.
This sounds hilarious - maybe a level lower on the 'shallow' shelf from 'The Bachelor'? All I do know, is that I love WHITNEY PORT ('The City'), and if she's really hosting this, then there must be something appealing about the whole idea.
So the deal is there are eight males, who possess so called Ken-like qualities, and the last one standing is crowned 'America's perfect boyfriend'.
The contestants on the show are:
- Chris Holscher as "Compassionate Ken." Holscher is a child care worker and lifeguard.
- Michael Pericoloso as "Party Ken." Pericoloso is a bartender, rapper and gym trainer. - Kash Kiefer as "All Ameri-Ken." Kiefer is a bartender and model. - Leeron Cohen as "Style Ken." Cohen is currently a student. - David Homyk as "Crooner Ken." Homyk is a singer/songwriter - Kurtis Taylor as "Dreamer Ken." Taylor is a professional football player. - Derek Steele as "Artistic Ken." Steele is a musician. - Keith Henderson as "Heart-Warming Ken." Henderson is a human resource professional. NB: I love how it is 'boyfriend', kind of emphasises how trivial we can expect it to be.
