This entry is brought to you by the gardens of the Natural History Museum. I am looking into a small garden that is almost all green, save for about 10 pink flowers. Oh, and an old white statue of a lady; naked, with Princess Leia type hair buns, but higher up on her head, like rabbit ears. Oh, and she’s holding a scroll that is resting on a falcons wing. The falcon does not look impressed. Isn’t art wonderful? (Rhetorical, because we all know the answer is ‘sometimes’.)

GOOD NEWS! I have found a place to live in Paris. From October until February. This news is so good even your mum’s happy for me.

It is a one bedroom studio apartment in a fantastically central part of the city. And it’s beautiful. I doubt I will ever stay anywhere as nice as this again in my life. Even if I rent a night in the most expensive room in the Sky City Hotel! (Although the apartment doesn’t have a revolving restaurant handy, oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.)

In other exciting news
... I used my laughable French skills to get a Navigo card! This is essentially a week long pass for the metros and buses. It’s not actually that exciting, but I think it’s a victory none the less.

I also bought some grapes! Ok now I’m stretching. But little things eventually build up into big things. Who knows, next month I could be having entire fruit salads.

So I think I finally have my hands on some of that Paris Cake, and the first cut’s being made. To celebrate I think I may go to London for a week, because; why the heck not?
