I'm a big believer that everything happens for a reason. Good or bad, happy or sad - we walk away with something from the experience and it's a lesson learned.

It's the same for the people in our lives.

I am so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends and family. One of those people is Anna.

She is beautiful, self-less, talented, funny, loyal, caring, has so much love and if she could hold the world in her arms and embrace it, she would.

I was over at her place for dinner before I left for New York and the first thing I noticed in her apartment (one which she shared with my other BFF Tiff - don't even get me started on her! She's just as awesome!) were these gorgeous flowers! Check out the Zebra rose!!!!

Stunning right?! I also noticed Lola, Anna's wee kitty who never fails to make us laugh. From the way she cleans herself to the way she rips apart every toy mouse in the house until it's beyond recognition....she's definitely great value.

So back to dinner. Anna and I used to have this tradition. We'd religiously go to this takeout place and get a dish called 'Mekong chicken' which was essentially a pad thai. We always got extra chillies - we like it HOT!!!!

So as a treat, Anna made me her own version of a 'Mekong chicken' so spicy I thought I was going to get a nose bleed! Safe to say, it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Nom nom nom nom nom.

My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
