Weekend adventures are the BEST ADVENTURES of all!
My Saturday was a #winning Saturday, with the one and only best start to the day: Coffee. I headed to Shaky Isles to meet up with a friend (one of my favourite coffee spots), and from there we cruised straight on to the PASIFIKA FESTIVAL at Western Springs.
There was no shortage of entertainment! We watched people dig for their lives to win flights to the islands, twelve-year-old girls krump, and the most amusing, theatrical brass band ever.
And... what would Pasifika have been without a traditional feed? We chose a healthy combination of fried chicken, chop suey and taro... and ice-cream in pineapple for dessert. Who's jealous?!
Oh, and I forgot to mention - I WENT TO THE WARRIORS GAME AS WELL! Sad about the outcome, but none the less it was incredibly atmospheric to be at the game. Too bad the east stand (old terraces) failed so many times to start a mexican wave!
