I have no idea how I have gone so long without having watched this already, but I randomly just found this 'Where The Wild Things Are' spoof on Youtube today... 'WHERE THE DIRTY HIPSTERS ARE'... I also stumbled across Flavor Wire's 'Stereotyping People By Their Favorite Indie Bands' article this week. HILARIOUS. I'm torn between the great amusement the list itself provides, or if the comments on both Part One and Part Two bring the most giggles. You can read the full list on Flavor Wire - PART ONE / PART TWO. These are my favourites: Grizzly Bear People who think that world hunger could be assuaged with four part harmonies. Vivian Girls Girls who purchase a guitar, buy flannel from the Salvation Army, wear glasses that they don’t actually need, and still can’t get the guy. Joanna Newsom People who have considered befriending a squirrel. She & Him People who hate Ben Gibbard. Bon Iver People with self-esteem issues and probably hate Ben Gibbard. Phoenix People who don’t listen to enough music. Dirty Projectors People who like way too many toppings on their pizza. LCD Soundsystem People who are obsessed with their creepy uncles. Feist Chicks who”didn’t agree with the ending” of (500) Days of Summer. Panda Bear Young men who know what a 401(k) is. |
