YESTERDAY I BOOKED MY AUSTRALIA FLIGHTS! I'm so excited to finally be seeing THE LIKE live and KATE NASH twice, that I fear everyone around me is going to get really annoyed with me in the lead-up to mid-February. I haven't seen Kate live since she played the Big Day Out Auckland a million years ago - which is sort of an overstatement considering I am not exactly that tall, so amidst a crowd of extremely tall people it makes 'seeing' anything a bit tricky - so I decided to opt for two rounds of Nash instead of one night of M. Ward. I didn't think that I would EVER get to see The Like live in my lifetime, so the fact that both acts are playing Australian side-shows within the same week is pretty much the most amazing coincidence of my life. Plus, I get to go to Melbourne to have awesome picnics and eat pancakes with some of my best friends... and go to my favourite vinyl record store! AND BUY A SUITCASE FULL OF PENNY PIGS CANDY!! KATE NASH + THE LIKE + SYDNEY + MELBOURNE + ME = BEST [WORKING] HOLIDAY EVER!!!!!  |
