Kate Nash

January was fun and all - and I am very really pleased that I managed to survive the last couple of weeks - but FEBRUARY has a long-lasting tradition of being my favourite month of most years.

Last year, myself and Sacha hopped a plane to Sydney and Melbourne for Tay Sweezy shows. It was grand. I also discovered the existence of Penny Pigs candy in all Coles supermarkets AND got to go to the place that they filmed 'Where The Wild Things Are'. I also ate a lot of Sumo Salad. Anyway, as my friend Brendon put it tonight: February is when I go on a "fangirl" trip.

I am going to Sydney for the sole reason of being able to see two KATE NASH side-shows within one week. I love Melbourne heaps so that one is a no-brainer, but I always get grouchy when I am in Sydney. I need trams to be happy in a foreign city - must be why I like Wellington.

The Like

...and after seven years, I finally FINALLY get to see THE LIKE live. The other great thing, is that this is technically a work-trip, so I get to spend all my money on a vinyl buying spree! I've been writing a list of wants and I'm not sure that any suitcase would be able to service my needs.

But before I go to Aussieland, I get to see MAYER HAWTHORNE live at Splore Festival! I can't wait to see him play the tambourine. Boys that play the tambourine are generally my most favourite kind of boy.

You won't fit in my suitcase - I need all the room I can get for records - so you'll just have to make do with the below videos...
