A good cup of tea certainly isn't what it used to be... it's even better!!! Take a look at some of these inspiring designs that takes the whole tea drinking experience to the next level.
To start off, here's a prototype by Russian based designer NATHALIA PONOMAREVA called "Green Berry Tea". Every tea bag is in the shape of an origami bird and slowly expands as it brews. Reminds me of those little rubber toys that you put in a jar of water and it slowly grows... it's a beauty!
Next check out graphic designer JEEYUN MICHAELLA CHUNG's modern twist on the classic Japanese chasen (a handmade bamboo whisk traditionally used to frothy matcha green tea). They're called "Tea-To-Go-Sticks". Each stick comes with a tea bag attached inside and as they're only made out of water resistant paper - it means they'll hold their shape for your first brew....more than that and there are no guarantees! I think these are very clever and I'd love to get me some!
Also on the list of 'quali-tea' designs is this. "Hanger Tea" by SOON MO KANG. Each tea bag is in the shape of a t-shirt and comes with it's own colour-coded hanger according to its flavour. You simply hang the hanger on the rim of your cup and hey presto! What's more, the teas come in a miniature wardrobe. Bless.
And finally, if you're a bit of a tea connoisseur, you will love TEA FORTE. Not only do they have the most amazing selection of teas, their tea bags are pretty striking too! Pyramids that stay taut even when they're brewing....
So... you fancy a cuppa??!!! |
