Coup De Main Fashion D.I.Y's are back! The overhaul sent us into D.I.Y hibernation - but don't worry - we will be frequent from now on... Hooray!
Feel free to request things that you would love to see in our D.I.Y section. All you need to do is email this address - submissions@coupdemainmagazine.com - with D.I.Y in the subject line!
First up we have a crazy crop-a-licious tee, with added studded sleeves!
Note: you can add as many or as little studs as you like. We just generally HEART studs right now. They are oh-so-in darling. Pyramid studs, rivet-type studs, black, silver, gold studs... you name it, we're on it, we love it.
What you'll need:
STEP 1: To crop the t-shirt, mark across the bottom of the hem at your desired length in a straight line and cut off. If you want to cut the sleeves as well then mark the t-shirt sleeves at an angle and trim off excess fabric.
STEP 2: Now for the fun part, get started on studding the sleeves! Simply take a stud and push the tabs through the fabric, on the reverse side push tabs inwards to secure the stud in place. Continue studding the sleeve going around the arm until the whole sleeve has been done. (See photo above to see what the studs looks like on the reverse side, when fastened in place.) You can totally mix up the studs and put them in different places, such as on the hemline or neckband. As well as the finishing of the edges being either unfinished or nicely hemmed.
This is my finished look...
Until next time... <3 D.I.Y Team XOXO |
