I was in Geoff's Emporium on Dominion Road, as you do, and I came across these rather random gold objects (left photo above). Inspired, I somehow wanted to transform these rather insipid, 20 cents piece objects into something more elegant and beautiful. Ergo, D.I.Y. NECKLACE idea was formed...

You will need:
- Potentially sparkling, exciting objects (however many you think you will require - must have some hole, or access to thread string through.
- Leather/ Ribbon to tie the necklace together with (length depends on your preference, 1 metre was more than enough for me).
- String / thin elastic to thread through the objects.
- Scissors

First Step:
With the string / elastic, cut it the 'object' length plus extra. Thread through the holes on the objects and condense objects together flat (see above photo reference).
Second Step:
Cut leather / ribbon in half, and loosely knot one end on each piece.

Third Step:
With the loose knot, pick up the end of the string / elastic and thread through the knot in the Leather.
Fourth Step:
Tighten the knot in the leather and then knot the string / elastic to the leather. Thus, attaching the leather and string together on both ends leaving other end of leather free.
Fifth Step:
Tie a nice bow with the other end of the leather / ribbon and voilà, you have an exclusive, gorgeous necklace that know one's ever seen before!
