Canadian duo Dean and Dan Caten have once again wowed the fashion community with their DSQUARED2 Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 collection.
From the ad campaign (photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot), to the runway, the collections have stayed true to their roots of refined Italian tailoring and attention to detail. Thus producing, a wearable statement-making range that's sexy, provocative, and loved by a wide range of celebrity clientele including Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Tokio Hotel and Justin Timberlake to name a few.
The theme for both the men's and women's range is 'Aseptic Chic' as seen in their campaign shots. They've managed to combine the essence of anatomy labs, with cold glass columns similar to cooling cells, to exhibit the beauty of the human form. The vibe is clinical, a bit sterile, very experimental, and rather intense.
What really caught our eye were these spine-tingling 'Skeleton Heels' sported by the models on the runway!
Otherwise referred to as 'Spinal Heels', these shoes carry on the trend that fashion great Alexander McQueen was renowned for - making shoes that were coveted for their artistic qualities - such as the famous 'Lobster Claw' Lady Gaga wore in her 'Bad Romance' music video.
These are like Jurassic Park X 'Nip Tuck' - don't you think?!
