Gone is the year of shocking impulsive buys a.k.a. "buuuuutttt it's on sale" purchases... say "hello" to the year of solid investments, that will be 2011.

I think it's time to really start believing in what we are buying and taking into account the quality, longevity and wear-ability of an individual piece. SHOCK HORROR, you can expect to wear it more than once. It's lucky, we don't have celebrities or paparazzi in NZ...

Our first recommendation to invest in, is a GREY MARLE HOODIE. Mine was a late 2009 purchase in Japan from a small boutique store, a french terry weave with rope draw cords. I've thrashed it to death, there was even a sneaky New Year's Eve wear in there. I love it to pieces, and it's a nice piece to lighten up an outfit - a better choice than a black hoodie!
