Other than Robert Pattinson (gush), Kate Lanphear is my other Google-search staple. Yea. I said it.
HER GIG: Kate Lanphear is the Style Director of US Elle Magazine. The former Axl Rose fan (she trailed the Guns 'n' Roses tour bus back in the "Appetite for Destruction" days in her Honda Civic with the rego 'AXL LVR') started out as a fashion assistant and has 'Australian Vogue' and 'Harper's Bazaar' on her resume.
HER STYLE: It's a bit androgynous. It's a bit punk. It's a bit rock 'n' roll. It's a bit glam. "IT" has earned her an incredible amount of admirers around the world and even spawned a few copy cats. Her look is very minimalistic and effortless. Her palette is mainly monochromatic (lots of blacks, whites and greys) but she'll often surprise with the odd khaki, camel or ivory get up. She makes us all appreciate the simplicity of a tee shirt paired with skinny jeans and bold black heels.
HER WARDROBE: Skinny Jeans (favouring Lee's Supa Tubes), tee shirts, vests, blazers, cashmere and when it comes to accessories, anything with chains and studs is a must, leather cuffs and rings for every finger not to mention a Blackberry which she she seems to always be attached to. Understandable. I'd imagine there's also a lot of Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, Givenchy, YSL, Alaia and Alexander Wang in there....
HER HAIR: A killer platinum-undercut-bob. A mix between Gwyneth Paltrow circa 'Sliding Doors' and Tilda Swinton.
