Only one word comes to mind when you see American Actor JAKE GYLLENHAAL in his latest role as Prince Dastan in the Disney / Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster 'PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME'... [ Read our review of the film HERE ]
That one word being: WOW.
As in - "wow you're so buff Jake!". "Wow you've come a long way since 'DONNIE DARKO' which by the way, what was that? I still don't get it" - and - "wow, Matthew McCanaughey might finally put a shirt on after he sees this!"
He's one of People Magazine's "World's Most Beautiful People" of 2010 and we're about to undress him - exposing his sense of style which goes hand in hand with his down-to-earth-boy-next-door personality.
HIS STYLE: Gyllenhaal is all about comfort and practicality. He particularly favours sombre tones and muted shades and for his day-to-day look, he likes his loose fit t-shirts or open-collared long sleeved shirts paired with loose fit jeans, sneakers and designer sunglasses.
He also wears a lot of zip-up jackets - the emphasis on zips - such as these ones here:
And should there be a red carpet event, you know he's going to look the part with a sharp designer suit.
HIS ACCESSORIES: Sunglasses are essential and the ones he's most often photographed in are the RAY-BAN 3362 Aviators, GUCCI 1594/s that look like Wayfarers plus MOSLEY TRIBES Pilot. Also I've noticed (as I'm sure his fans have too), Gyllenhaal's love for fedoras - notably FERRAGAMO and SCALA - and beanies!
HIS GROOMING: He's mostly unshaven, however it still looks rather manicured and tends to go al naturale with his hair. One thing's for sure - no matter what - he always scrubs up nicely! Here are some photos from his latest shoot for GQ Magazine...
