HER STYLE: Is anything BUT conventional. It's unique. It's playful. It's kitschy. It's colourful. It's quirky. It's retro. It's vintage. Her fashion sense has really changed since her 'I Kissed A Girl' debut. Now she reserves the more 'extreme' outfits for the stage, preferring the more glamorous, elegant looks for her appearances and events. That being said, we're going to break down Katy's style into three categories: 'Red-Carpet-Katy', 'Stage-Katy' and 'Off-Duty-Katy'. Whatever look she's going for, Katy goes all the way making it her own, from head to toe.

Red Carpet Katy...

Stage Katy...

Sporting the Carmen Miranda fruit dress by THE BLONDS at the 2009 Grammys is a sure sign this lil' lady has a deep love for all things watermelon... and fruity; making a statement with one of her eleven outfits hosting the Europe MTV Music Awards with MANISH ARORA's ingenious multi-coloured Merry-Go-Round dress that actually rotates!

And who can forget the very-much-talked-about dress of 2009 next to Lady Gaga's Kermit-the-frog-and-extended-family dress? Another creation by THE BLONDS - worn at the 2009 MTV Music Awards in Japan - is this sushi embroidered leotard complete with matching nail appliques!

Off-Duty Katy...

Katy keeps it casual with a wardrobe of mainly blacks, greys and whites. She does have a couple of staples though.

Sunglasses: SUPER Frank 2 wayfarer shaped black and white sunglasses and VON ZIPPER Pandora shades in black.

Shoes: STEVE MADDEN Banglez studded sandals and a pair of black ALL SAINTS Damisi boots made from distressed suede.

Designer bags: CHLOE Paddington handbag in gold and a classic CHANEL 2.55 bag in black.

And you'll probably notice by now, that a fedora is also a wardrobe essential for Katy Perry.

Dresses: bold prints (which she matches with long chained necklaces).
