WHO: British actor ED WESTWICK is best known for his role as Chuck Bass on the American hit series 'GOSSIP GIRL', and slightly less known for his role as frontman of indie-rock band The Filthy Youth. He's currently the face of sportswear brand K-Swiss and he's also starred alongside big names such as Jude Law, Juliette Binoche, Robyn Wright Penn, Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. Resumè looks good. Chuck Bass looks good. Ed Westwick? Looking good!

“My style has always been good. Top notch, baby. I like the glamorous indie rock look, like the Libertines. But you know, without the heroin needle sticking out of my arm.”- The NY Post's Page Six Magazine When wearing tees, he makes sure to accessorize with long silver necklaces. He's also very much into bracelets and black loafers. Yes, loafers. Sans socks. He's often seen in his GUCCI black suede loafers (as pictured far right) with cuffed jeans.
He also loves his boots:
These JOHN VARVATOS Spectator boots are a staple in his wardrobe along with skinny fit jeans - like the CALVIN KLEIN Overdyed black skinny jeans above - and these OPEN CEREMONY shoes. (Below left to right) the M16 Huarache in brown suede and the M1 Desert Boot from Fall 2009.
It's evident he likes to pair them with his ACNE Good Stripe tee (shown above). Some of Ed's other must-haves are a leather jacket and sunglasses. His brand of choice? RAY-BAN. Specifically the Wayfarer, the 3025 Aviator and the 3016 Clubmaster:
His leather jacket is from the BILLY REID store on Bond Street in New York City. Ed also looks great in a cardigan:
And we can't forget his love for the panama hat:
HIS WARDROBE: When it comes to shoes, Ed has an appreciation for REEBOK Classics (the old-school ones); K-Swiss; pointy toe oxfords; penny loafers; OPEN CEREMONY; JOHN VARVATOS and GUCCI as mentioned earlier. As for clothing, he's a big fan of DOLCE AND GABBANA - from their tailored suits to their t-shirts; ARMANI EXCHANGE, J.CREW, JOHN VARVATOS, CALVIN KLEIN (anything black, white, grey, blue, denim or sombre) plus...
"I really like Michael Bastian, also Burberry. Burberry’s done a great job of updating their brand, from old-school Britannia to new, modern cool. I like designers who are creative and highlight individuality. And of course, K-Swiss." - Ed Westwick, GQ Magazine
You've got to hand it to him - he sure knows how to dress up for a red carpet event. Black leather lace-up's, beautifully fitted designer suits with modern cuts, skinny ties... swoon! And if you must know, Ed Westwick prefers to go commando! “I don’t usually wear underwear. It’s more comfortable and free to air it all out...I’m not even scared of Full-frontal nudity.” - Now Magazine, UK |
