The Twilight Saga's ASHLEY GREENE looks gorgeous on the cover of ASOS magazine's July 2010 issue!
In this exclusive interview entitled "The Making of Miss Greene", Ashley opens up about landing the role of Alice Cullen:
“I was 20 when I got cast in Twilight. I was still working at this restaurant in LA called The Belmont Cafe and I was reading the books while I was there. I freaked out when they told me I’d got the role, like, holy crap, this might change my life! I don’t feel that anyone could have expected this though. It’s still insane and I still have to pinch myself.”
And having recently been awarded 'Style Icon' at the annual Young Hollywood Awards - she talks about her sense of style:
"I don't like that trashy look. So if I'm wearing a short skirt and heels, I'll cover up on top. I know what works for me too." She goes on to say: "My day wardrobe, nine times out of 10, is very comfortable. It's billowy shirts or very sheer tops, flats or wedges. I love RAG AND BONE, and OPENING CEREMONY is cute."
As for her own fashion heroes? Although they tend to vary, the two that will always remain. One being the late Audrey Hepburn:
"Her style was amazing. Classy, beautiful, elegant. I love that even black tights, flats and a simple top would look so great on her."
The other? Gwyneth Paltrow:
"She's sexy, but she's classy, and I think that's a hard thing for women to achieve a lot of the time in Hollywood. She'll take a chance here and there, too."
Styled by Zeba Lowe and photographed by Victor Demarchelier (son of fashion photography great - Patrick Demarchelier), it's crazy to think Ashley Greene once had low self-esteem! To read the entire interview plus a behind-the-scenes featurette, click HERE! |
