CYBÉLE - 'Nieriya'

CYBELE
exuded the idea of a 'dead butterfly'. Dark and nonchalant, yet feminine and beautiful - based on the religion paganism, creating much of the same vibe. Cybele still managed to charm the crowd using a huge strength of hers, in textile print. No separate sleeves for the majority of her garments, just letting the material fall around the body in the most natural way, created a collection of original silhouettes. Her beautiful dusty colourways were definitely a highlight, as well as a water-drop print alongside very alluring red leather in gorgeous wide belts and petite bodices.

If Cybele hadn't impressed you yet, just wait. From our perspective, jumpsuits are incredibly hard to get right. A popular trend that many labels have had a crack at, but many were boring, unflattering and had nothing special to offer, which made Cybele's collection that much more impressive. She got it right not just once, but twice. A suede touch silk in black, and a deep purple velvet - both jumpsuits were stunning.

Favourite Piece: Deep purple velvet jumpsuit.
Best Part Of The Show: Debut print that looks like dye dropped in water in a lemon, lime and forest green colour-way.
Music: I enjoyed the music, an unrecognisable heavy bass, which in return didn't steal any focus from the clothing.
Wild Moment: Ivory covered cross marking the entrance to the split runway and the amount of people they tried to pack into the shed.
This show took me to a place... 'Fighter' video clip by Christina Aguilera.
