The curtains dropped. The show began. It was epic. In front of us stood forty-six models immaculately posed from head to toe. An eclectic mixture of prints, patterns, colours and styles were exhibited - characterising individual stories to make up Sera Lilly's Winter '11 collection.
A stand-out story within the range was the ever-so au courant Mexican & Aztec styles. A pendleton print was a fine choice as a recurring theme, alongside foolhardy Zorro hats. The styling was well accessorised, with a mixture of casual and formal, to make a cohesive outfit. The most memorable, possibly our favourite to date, is the checkered ankle-length skirt with a charcoal cropped sweater and a blingin' silver necklace.
Favourite Piece: Navy + burnt orange + Spanish cream plaid full-length dress paired with a crop charcoal knit jersey. Best Part Of The Show: A widowed bride closing the show walking to a radical cover of a 'Killers song. STUNNING. Worst Part Of show: A floral print that looked like it should have stayed buried with the Titanic. Music: Raddest Mexican/Spanish pop music.. Wild Moment: The show opened with forty-six models posed in a cluster in the centre of the runway. This show took me to a place... At first cruising through the desert, a bamboo sikus in hand, tumble weed blowing past my feet. Then suddenly, like a dream, I was whisked to a maze garden in a beautifully elegant dress. A cup of tea one hand and a cupcake in the other, as the Mad-Hatter sings: "A very happy un-birthday to you".
