'NEW ZEALAND FASHION WEEK' is slowly creeping up on the fashion-lovers of this nation... Thanks to Rugby World Cup madness, the week of all-round fashion goodness is coming earlier this year: Monday 29th August - Saturday 3rd September. As well as a new week, it will also be held in a brand new venue, the Viaduct Events Centre. However all is not lost, as there are still plenty of events for the general public to attend. See below... Friday night and Saturday become 'Fashion Weekend' with events, DJ's, musical entertainment, and let's not forget the event that is notorious on your wallet, 'The Designer Garage Sale'. My most recommended public show to attend would be the Designer Selection Show: "The Designer Selection Show is an exciting and entertaining fashion show that showcases the summer collections from designers showing at Fashion Week as well as a sneak preview of their Winter Collections that are not usually viewed by the public on a Catwalk. Each show features around 40 designers and a total of 6 Designer Selection Shows will be scheduled through the week. Guests will receive goody bags containing a selection of product from our sponsors which is worth more than the value of their ticket entry."
