Debuting at ‘New Zealand Fashion Week’ 2011 is local label 'COOP'!
Although it was their first show, the designers behind the brand are not new to the fashion world - both ladies previously worked at Trelise Cooper before venturing out into the real-world with their own label.
Pieces that were showcased were predominantly evening wear, for example a number of dresses displayed daring neck and hemlines. The line was heavily detailed with crystal embellishments, contrast panels, leather, lace, and velvet.
Check out the runway photographs below...
Favourite Pieces: Black baby doll dress with padded shoulder cap and stitch detailing. Shades of grey patch woollen coat with belt buckle closings on the centre front. Colour: Black, mint green, red, purple, dirty olive, Random fashion fact: A common solution for designers is to put a centre-back zip in, not as a feature but just because it's an easy option. However, not many know that the centre back-zip is meant to show that the garment is for special occasions, since you have the time and fuss of a back zip and also because you don’t want to mess up your hair and make-up.
