Along with the ever-so-important'World' show on Friday night, was the 'KATHRYN WILSON' runway event - where she showcased her Winter '12 footwear range!
With a public invitation to her event via Facebook - this runway show was one of the biggest that New Zealand Fashion Week had ever seen - with an expected crowd of around three thousand people.
I'm always intrigued to see the display of the range, as it isn't often that we see footwear collections debut on the runway, as clothing is the obvious priority. Returning for her second appearance at New Zealand Fashion Week, Kathryn Wilson definitely stepped it up a notch this year, with extra entertainment in the form of a short film pre-show and with musicians Kimbra and The Checks performing after the models graced the catwalk. (However, due to noise control the event was shut down before The Checks could play).
Despite the distracting peacock lingerie, the range of footwear displayed was complimentary in the colour palette and designs. With two-tone pieces being a regular feature, as well as the colour gold and red-verging-on-maroon.
