Australian adventures rule! I’ll jump at any opportunity to skip across the ditch for a few hours, especially when the host dragging me away from my fluorescent desktop screen and no-natural-light-office is the one and only, 'NIKE'.
Late October, I was lucky enough to be invited to go on a thirty-two hour escapade to Sydney. The thirty-two hours away were well spent - jam-packed with a Nike Sportswear Housewarming Party and a walk-through of the Bronte beach-side [Laguna-beach-look-a-like] abode.
Beats, beers and burgers were present at the housewarming, but that wasn’t the drawcard of the night - we were also celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the Air Force 1. The celebration was made complete with a radical larger than life Air Force 1 installation and interactive photobooth. Did I mention that our ride to and from the part-ay was a Porsche? Oh yes, we travelled in style.
The next day we had the opportunity to walk back through the supreme Nike house to catch a closer look at the athlete inspired rooms. One of which was our very own BMX superstar Sarah Walker - whose room was laced with inspirational quotes, flowers, photos of her successes and of course her hand-picked favourite styles of the latest and greatest ‘Nike Live’ range.
One thing that stood out to me personally was the consistently bright colour palette of the whole Live Nike range. It’s refreshing to see an incredibly vibrant Autumn/Winter collection. I’m glad someone out there thinks that it’s a-okay to wear neon pink and orange any time of the year.
P.S. I also learnt that not all Nike gear is just for working out!
