11:36am. Cybele Wiren's Winter 2010 collection 'Virtue', is about to kick off after what felt like a long wait. But well worth it.

Cybele has such a way with silk and strong prints. "Virtue", being her 15th collection following "Serpentine" showed her consistency in design and that she knows exactly what works for her.

She set out to incorporate the "pure sculptural qualities of flowers and insects" with the "regiment and formality of the Victorian Era". And she did just that through her design, print and tailoring and construction.

The first dress to crack the stage was a sheer and flowy black silky number under a matching floor length cape.  What a way to make an entrance!

The collection was feminine, sexy and at times even a little dramatic. One of my fave's had to be the short navy blue silk dress with the multi -calla lily print. Simple, very Cybele and so ready-to-wear I may as well have jumped on stage and taken it off the model there and then. Yes it was that good and I told Cybele this also.

In this season were big puffed sleeves and soft blush (check out the dress with the fan detail - this is one where the whole audience gave a little gasp) contrasting with the black silk.

There was also the blazer which was very well constructed. It's on my wish list!

Moths and lillies were translated into the outfits with wing shaped sleeved; dots; cut-out stockings and of course, print.

Make-up was very natural and nude with the exception of some 80s blush. Hair was parted in the middle and slicked down into a low ponytail with some pieces set in a way that the models reminded me of Thumbelina.

I did think however that the shoes on the models could have been a bit more to size. The walk down the runway was less fierce, and perhaps even a little....awkward due to this. Oh well, you learn.

What topped it all off was the one-of-a-kind glass lily worn as a necklace - cast by artist Layla Walter especially for the occasion.

All in all, points for Cybele Wiren.
