For her Autumn / Winter 2010 collection, I was only too eager to see what gowns and other beautiful things she was going to come up with!

Touted as one of NZ's best young designers, Sera Lilly's designs are derived from her love of fabric, appreciating the beauty of the female form and creating something of high quality, that's wearbable with a beautiful finish.

"The Impossible Princess" embraces the romanticism of a rebellious princess, drawing inspirations from princesses around the world - fictitious and real.

In a time where we've been told to 'save our pennies', Sera Lilly's collection dares to be different. It is glamourous; classy; sassy; colourful and rich in texture.

The soundtrack for her show was quite the medley featuring the Vitamin C Quartet with a Muse cover, Guns 'n' Roses, Lady Gaga and Prince. The models I'm glad to say knew how to work the runway, strutting their stuff to the beat of the music.

The show opened with this rich red velvet wrap dress....Undoubtedly flattering on every woman!

The collection was big on florals, cocktail dresses, blazers not to mention the occasional crocodile skin!

One of the highlights for me were the stockings. OMG. How how were they? Nude stockings with a black garter print! Uber sexy and a nice touch amidst the ladylike dresses thus reinforcing the rebellious princess theme! And don't even get me started on the tuelle and floral embellished head pieces!!!!! I WANT ONE!!!!

And just because I can, here's another shot of another gorgeous head piece....

A lot of the cuts reminded me of prom dresses from the 80's! It's all coming back.

The two statement numbers at the end was an oversized fur jacket with notes of pastel blues and greys followed by a floor length, strapless sequinned dress tailored to bring out a beautiful hour glass figure.

Worth a mention is the hair and make up! Combined with the collection, it was new - skool glamour at it's best!
