KATHRYN WILSON is a household name as our favourite footwear label - and also a real-life person behind the killer, designer label itself. Kathryn had a quick minute to spare amongst the pre-fashion-week-pandemonium, to answer a few questions regarding her debut show...

COUP DE MAIN: What is the most exciting thing about being a part of NZFW 2010?
KATHRYN WILSON: Working along-side a group of talented, inspirational and passionate people that are contributing to our show, we have Garth Badger working on a film component, Onny Kaulima playing live music, Ange Crane styling the show each adding their own passion and energy to the overall concept of the show.

CDM: What have you learnt about yourself in the last month, in the upcoming of your debut show?

KATHRYN: I'm apparently dubbed “Kathryn ‘Miss Organised’ Wilson” by others involved. I have a massive stack of folders covering everything from seating plans to lighting and models etc.

CDM: Where did you draw your inspiration from for your Winter '11 collection?
KATHRYN: Travel, people, friends.

CDM: What is one word to describe or sum up your Winter '11 collection?
KATHRYN: Playful

CDM: Who would you fall to your knees to in awe of their style?
KATHRYN: Anyone who's not afraid to be different.

CDM: Quick tip for all those fashion fiends...
KATHRYN: Comfortable means confident, and confident means beautiful.
