From her tom-boy brunette days, to her luscious redhead Karl Lagerfeld BFF-ing and 'Gucci' stage outfits, FLORENCE WELCH has evolved into something of a goddess since she was first seen frolicking around in t-shirts and shorts. Collaborating with the likes of 'Topshop', to influencing red-hued-hair on fashion runways, it feels like this beauty has only just been scraping the surface on how her music career will collide with and influence the fashion industry... #1 At the beginning of Miss Welch's career she use to be quite a tom-boy, wearing only one style of t-shirt by American Apparel, shorts and brogues. They were her 'no thrill' clothes after a break-up... obviously since then she has discovered that fashion can have an effect on how she feels when she's on and off-stage. #2 Florence Welch + Karl Lagerfeld = BFF.
Florence on the opportunity to play at the 'Chanel' show: “It’s incredible: Karl and I met this summer for a photoshoot, he told me about the runway show in October, his inspiration and the all-white underwater decor, and he said, ‘You should come and perform at the show’. I never thought it would happen, and I certainly didn’t imagine that I’d be standing singing in a white seashell in front of 2500 people.” #3 The always-spectacular Florence stars as an official 'hoarder' in the ''Markus Lupfer' Resort 2012 film...

The designer of 'Gucci' Frida Giannini, was so captivated by Miss Welch's "eccentric style and her willingness to dare," that she designed all of Florence's stage outfits for her U.S. tour earlier this Summer. #5 If we want an understanding of Florence's style, we need to delve into her fashion inspiration. In an interview with Billboard magazine Florence gushes that Françoise Hardy [below] is someone that influences her style.
