![]() VERSAEMERGE. You might not recognize the name just yet, but if their catapulting popularity and sudden rise out of the shadows and into the musical spotlight is anything to go by, it won’t be long before you do. Established in 2007, a couple of early line up changes finally saw the dust settle on what is now known as VersaEmerge. Releasing EP ‘Perceptions’ in May 2008, the young band immediately caught the attention of popular record label Fueled By Ramen. What is immediately striking about VersaEmerge is the power behind teenage vocalist Sierra Kusterbeck's voice. At just nineteen, her voice appears polished and well trained, with live videos seeming to prove this further. Being a band with a female vocalist, it’s all too easy to draw comparisons to fellow Fueled By Raman darlings Paramore. However, Versa Emerge are slightly less pop/punk and a little more experimental, reminiscent of Circa Survive type stylings. Releasing their self titled EP in early 2009 on Fueled By Raman, and with Kusterbeck appearing as guest vocals on popular releases such as on A Day To Remember’s ‘Homesick’... I expect VersaEmerge will be one to watch. be-friend!
