![]() "Victory!" LUPE FIASCO has finally secured a release date for his third studio album - 'Lasers' (which stands for "Love Always Shines Everytime Remember 2 Smile") will be released in NZ on March 7th, 2011. Earlier this year, Fiasco announced that he had completed work on his new album but that Atlantic Records would not confirm a release date for it. Fiasco's fans rallied behind the rapper, petitioning for a release date, and organising - 'Fiasco Friday' - a protest in front of Atlantic Records' New York City headquarters, which Lupe himself attended. A report from an attendee at Lupe Fiasco's RACC Dayton keynote surmised that the relationship breakdown between Fiasco and Atlantic was the result of pressure from the label for Lupe to sign a 360 deal contract - and Atlantic threatening not to plug his singles at radio or finance new music videos, when Fiasco refused to sign to a 360 deal. Lupe Fiasco will play the Big Day Out 2011 - further details HERE. Watch the music video for Lupe Fiasco's 'I'm Beamin' which Fiasco paid for out of his own pocket...
