Busted

In what is quite possibly the most exciting announcement I have read all year, former BUSTED band members MATT WILLIS and JAMES BOURNE have revealed that they have been writing new music and hope to release a new album in 2011.

According to the BBC website, Willis says that: "It's the two guys who wrote Busted songs. So it's going to be a little bit like Busted. But we're both 27 now. We're not 17 writing about school teachers and the year 3000. Also we're not writing about really grown-up stuff either. The way it's taken shape, it's funny. I don't know if Flashdance has influenced me, but its quite 80s, quite synth-based. But it's still got guitars. It's great. It's wicked. Things are looking good. Fingers crossed, we should be making an album within the next six months hopefully. But we'll see."

Willis is currently performing in the West End production of 'Flashdance', whilst Bourne released his debut solo album 'Volume 1' earlier this year, and Busted-breaker-up-er Charlie Simpson is currently writing and recording a solo album while on hiatus from Fightstar.

Now, excuse me while I go listen to all thirty-eight Busted songs in my iTunes. Here's some special treats for you below if you don't happen to have access to my laptop...
