![]() PART XIII l PART XIV The fun of 'Sing' and jumping vs. dipping your toes in... MIKEY WAY: What a fun night. RAY TORO: This song ['Sing'], yeah, that was [a] really fun night. These songs were written so really on in the revisiting of writing a record, if you will. FRANK IERO: I think that's why we were so open to try out... and really just let it be whatever it want[ed] to be, as opposed to bringing it into, like [our] comfort zone. Because we weren't sure that we know we were writing a new record. GERARD WAY: Right. Right. RAY: Yeah, write the songs, yeah. GERARD: Totally true. Totally true. FRANK: And that song, it is something that we've talked about for years. RAY: We've all... like, we've always... with them, like again with 'Vampires [Will Never Hurt You'], [it] has [and] could have a little bit of that feel. 'To The End', on ['Three Cheers For Sweet] Revenge' and on '[The] Sharpest [Lives'], there's always these songs we... we've kind of come close, but never going to[/fully] for it. FRANK: Put your toes in order and then you're like: oh, no. That can never work. GERARD: Yeah, it's too cold. FRANK: Yeah, too cold. GERARD: It's too warm. It's too nice. So... FRANK: But, that's what, that one - we just jumped right the fuck in.
