![]() Singer-songwriter COURTNEY MARIE ANDREWS released her first album 'Urban Myths' at the age of eighteen through the independent record label, River Jones Music. The following year in 2009, Andrews released her second album, 'Painters Hands And A Seventh Son'. Her most recent solo release to date is her third album 'For One I Knew', released last year in 2011, which features Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World. Hailing from Phoenix (Arizona), Andrews names other artists that she likes as; Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Joni Mitchell, The Pioneers of Prime Time Tv, Ryan Adams, Chan Marshall, and Bjork. Before Andrews rose to more widespread recognition for her back-up vocals contribution to five songs on Jimmy Eat World's 'Invented' album, Jim Adkins from the band asked Andrews to sing a duet of a Wilco (and Feist) song with him live on stage, back in September of 2009. Courtney Marie Andrews has been busy touring with Jimmy Eat World in support of their 'Invented' album on their full 2010/2011 tours... and you can count your lucky stars that she is making the trip to New Zealand alongside the band, to sing for us!
