The Horrors

Yesterday, THE HORRORS announced details about the release of their upcoming third studio album, 'SKYING'. The highly-anticipated new album will be released in New Zealand on July 11th, 2011 - and follows on from 2009's ‘Primary Colours’ album. I was lucky enough to receive an advance-copy of the album and can 100% guarantee that you're going to love it. I've been listening to 'Skying' non-stop for the last week and am obsessed with track nine, 'Monica Gems'. I had completely forgotten that The Horrors were working on a new album, so this came as the best surprise I've received all year so far.

‘Skying’ was self-produced and recorded in The Horrors’ own self-built London studio and mixed by Craig Silvey. The band will debut a selection of new songs during the sets of their first UK shows of 2011 in June, during three sold-out dates in Glasgow, Manchester, and London.

There's also a rumour floating around that The Horrors will be returning to New Zealand sometime this year... click HERE to read our interview with the band from when they were last here for Big Day Out 2010.
