| JAMES FRANCO & KALUP LINZY to release debut EP, 'Turn It Up'. |

 JAMES FRANCO has announced that he will release a three-track EP on July 12th with experimental musician KALUP LINZY. The duo have dubbed themselves KALUP & FRANCO and will be releasing their 'Turn It Up' EP as a limited-edition 7-inch, as well as a download. The forthcoming EP was produced by DJ/rupture, Matt Shadetek and Brent Arnold, and will be released via Dutty Artz. The Guardian has also reported that each of the EP's tracks will get a music video "with surprise guest cameos". In an interview with New York magazine back in January, Linzy said that: "James [Franco] wants me to teach him to sing. I told him, 'You do so much voice work to get into movie characters – singing is the same thing."  Is James Franco the new Joaquin Phoenix?
