![]() DUM DUM GIRLS have announced the track-listing and title of their upcoming second studio album, 'Only In Dreams'. The four-piece will release their new record on September 27th in the U.S. and on the 23rd in Australia - so I am assuming that the New Zealand release date will be something like September 26th. "Frontwoman and lead vocalist Kristin “Dee Dee” Gundred, initially starting the band as a solo project, has rounded out the line-up with Jules, Bambi and Sandy on the band’s second full-length release to showcase the talents of the group as a whole. In contrast to 2010’s home-recorded, DIY debut ‘I Will Be’, ‘Only in Dreams’ was recorded in Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme’s Pink Duck Studios, with production by legendary pop music mogul Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, The Go-Go’s) and the Raveonettes’ Sune Rose Wagner. While the band still employ their signature blend of girl-gang eyeliner punk akin to 80’s pop-punk luminaries Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Bangles, lyrically the album packs a more emotionally heavy punch, with Dee Dee drawing inspiration from her time spent alone on tour and the passing of her mother last year – “a lot of it is about distance and detachment”, she explains." 'Only In Dreams' track-listing: 01 Always Looking 02 Bedroom Eyes 03 Just a Creep 04 In My Head 05 Heartbeat 06 Caught in One 07 Coming Down 08 Wasted Away 09 Teardrops on My Pillow 10 Hold Your Hand |
