Back in 2009, The Academy Is... frontman WILLIAM BECKETT announced that he had collaborated with none other than [his biggest admirer]... DEMI LOVATO. Lovato had always been vocal about Beckett being her 'celebrity crush'... so it was one of those rare moments in life where like-minded individuals could rejoice in the fact that the dreams of fan-girls do come true! However, before Lovato's 2009 album 'Here We Go Again' was released, Demi dropped the Beckett-collaboration entitled 'For The Love Of A Daughter' from her second album's tracklisting. Her reasoning being: "When I took a step back, I realized I wouldn't like those subjects being talked about in somebody else's home, with a seven-year-old and their mom." In 2011 though, 'For The Love Of A Daughter' can finally be heard as the fourteenth track of Lovato's brand new album, 'Unbroken'. ![]() "One of my favorites is called ‘For The Love Of A Daughter'. I speak about my relationship with my estranged father, whom I haven’t spoken to in five years and I basically explain why. It’s a controversial song – I wrote it when I was sixteen and it’s taken me this long to get it on an album, but I had to release it. Getting it out is like therapy."
