![]() Forget everything that you think you already know about HELLOGOODBYE. I don't mean any disrespect towards the band's 2006 'Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!' debut - which for the record, will always have a special place in my heart - but forget that too. Hellogoodbye's long-anticipated second album 'Would It Kill You?' was hands down the best pop record of 2010 - but due to its delayed July 2012 release in New Zealand, it is also the most underrated album of recent history. Like a modern Buddy Holly, Hellogoodbye frontman FORREST KLINE has skillfully crafted eleven non-stop sing-a-alongs of sock-hop-ish bass lines, grand brass and strings flourishes, and toys with synths and keyboards throughout the album with thoughtful mastery. When the line-up was announced for Counter Revolution festival in Australia, Coup De Main knew it was time to put an end to eight-years of waiting to see Hellogoodbye live... and wondering what thoughts give Kline, JOSEPH MARRO, TRAVIS HEAD, MICHAEL GARZON and ANDY RICHARDS the creeps... and what they'll look like when they're grandfatherly. ![]() What follows below is a factual account... ![]() HELLOGOODBYE IN VIDEO-GAME FORM... ![]() FORREST vs. ANDY...
