![]() Stepping on stage at Laneway after a year long hiatus, LADYHAWKE certainly hadn’t lost any of her magic. With her set time moved forward an hour due to a last minute shuffle around to accommodate the loss of !!! and the late arrival of Yeasayer, Pip Brown and her backing band blasted their way through a set full of all her hits from ‘Magic’, to ‘Paris Is Burning’ and ‘Dusk Til Dawn’, ending with ‘My Delirium'. While the songstress herself kept the between song banter to a minimum, she did look out from under her fringe occasionally to thank the audience for coming and a smile was almost always on her face as she looked out to the crowd. Her danceable pop-rock also managed to inject some much needed life into the Laneway audience who up until then had been reasonably tame in the dancing department. All in all, it was a great set from our local darling and a fitting return back to the musical main-stage. ![]() PART IV l PART VI Click HERE for more live Ladyhawke photos. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
