![]() Second to last act of the night BEACH HOUSE had my attention from the moment they hung giant sparkly diamonds on-stage - small things make a difference and it transformed the vibe of their outdoor festival set into what felt like a show at a smaller indoor venue. I was mostly unfamiliar with the ‘dream pop’ group's music before their set, and while I was a little concerned their haunting tracks would dull the finally lively atmosphere Yeasayer had established, I needn’t have worried. Sure, the crowd wasn’t dancing up a storm - but everyone was too busy being totally mesmerized by the music coming from the three people on stage, illuminated by a subtle and moody blue light. ![]() Following up their ‘make out’ song with a ‘break up’ song, I was especially impressed with the strength of Victoria Legrand’s vocals even when pounding her keyboard. Set highlight? The dreamy and awe inspiring ‘Norway'. ![]() PART VII l PART IX Click HERE for more live Beach House photos. ![]() ![]() |
