![]() MELBOURNE REVIEW / SYDNEY PHOTOS: What do you get when you take some Every Time I Die, add it with some Anthrax and put in a dash of Fall Out Boy? THE DAMNED (and everything awesome) THINGS! Ever since this band's inception, I had been dying to witness this seemingly unlikely amalgamation of talent live, and let’s just say that I wasn’t let down. Performing an array of songs off of their debut album ‘Ironiclast’, including tracks such as ‘Handbook For The Recently Deceased’, ‘Bad Blood’ and the title-track ‘Ironiclast’, the stand-out for me was the insane talent of the three guitarists - JOE TROHMAN, ROB CAGGIANO, and SCOTT IAN. ![]() The riffs and solos blasting from the speakers were the best of the day, and the collective years of experience of all the members provided a solid and extremely polished performance that was one of the standouts of the entire festival. Best moment: Vocalist KEITH BUCKLEY's amazing sense of humour - "Think of our CD as a back-up to your MP3's." ![]() ♥ Coup De Main hereby awards The Damned Things with a Counter Revolution... "Best Supergroup" award. Check out more live The Damned Things photos below... or click HERE to view the full album. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
