 MELBOURNE REVIEW / SYDNEY PHOTOS: Ever since missing their one-off New Zealand show way back in 2006, I’d been dying for the day that I would get to see STORY OF THE YEAR live… and as the band took to the stage at Counter Revolution, the long wait immediately proved to be worth it. Powering through their forty-minute set in a blaze of energy and backflips, DAN MARSALA & Co. led the crowd through many a sing-(and for some, mosh)-a-long to a well-chosen setlist - including ‘The Antidote’, ‘And The Hero Will Drown’, ‘Our Time Is Now’, ‘Anthem Of Our Dying Day’ and ending with ‘Until The Day I Die'. Their years of experience really shone through - especially in comparison to the younger bands who had played before them - as their electric stage performance appeared effortless and the near flawless vocal and instrumental performances blasting from the speakers added an extra dimension of raw energy to their recordings that was hard to ignore.  ♥ Coup De Main hereby awards Story Of The Year with a Counter Revolution...
