MELBOURNE REVIEW / SYDNEY PHOTOS:

When YELLOWCARD announced their return to music, you would have been hard-pressed to find someone more excited than I was. Then in February when their comeback album 'When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes' was released and found to be incredible… well let’s just say, the excitement levels were peaking.

Fast-forward to when RYAN KEY, SEAN MACKIN & Co. took to the stage at Festival Hall in Melbourne and started playing ‘For You And Your Denial’ and it felt like myself along with the entire audience had been taken back a few years, to a time when life was simpler.

The sing-a-longs were consistently huge throughout the band's set, increasing to an almost deafeaning level for their radio hits such as ‘Way Away’, ‘Ocean Avenue’ and ‘Only One’. In an interview Coup De Main had with Ryan Key prior to Counter Revolution - click HERE to read - the singer/guitarist stated that as far as live performances go, Yellowcard were at the top of their game and after witnessing them live (and losing my voice a little)… I would have to agree with him wholeheartedly.
