Bruno Mars - 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'

Producer. Singer. Writer. Charmer. Whichever way you look at BRUNO MARS - or if you are his mother, then Peter Hernandez - these labels, plus many more, ring so very true. With heartache, sex appeal and just enough cheese factor flowing from his perfect smile, Bruno’s debut album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' (which he self-produced, just FYI) has catapulted this man from being known as a guest vocalist and behind the scenes writer/producer... to a fully fledged hit machine.

His singles need no introduction - you’ve probably unavoidably heard them ten times in the past two hours without even trying. With a history of writing and producing for artists such as Flo Rida, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine and B.o.B, practice has served Mr. Mars well, with every track on his solo effort very clearly formulated for success. Doo-wops for the girls (‘Just The Way You Are’ and ‘Marry You’) and Hooligans for the boys (‘The Other Side’ featuring Cee Lo Green and B.o.B, and ‘Liquor Store Blues’ featuring Damian Marley) - and a beautiful soulful tone to his voice that will probably draw your mother in as a fan too.

MUST-LISTEN: ‘The Other Side’, ‘The Lazy Song’, ‘Talking To The Moon’, 'Marry You'.
YOU WILL LIKE, IF YOU LIKE: Travie McCoy, B.o.B, Cee Lo Green, Jason Derülo... and watching rom-coms on a rainy Sunday.
